LiveTV history: from early years to current usage

LiveTV is one of the long-running sports aggregation formats on the web. Since 2006, it has moved from a basic event list to a broader navigation layer used by fans who follow multiple live competitions.

2006-2010: Early stage

The first period focused on simple access to fixtures and match pages. For many users, the main value was finding live events faster than by searching many separate sites.

2010-2015: Expansion

Coverage widened from core football events to more sports, including hockey, basketball, tennis, and combat cards. The platform also became more useful for users outside a single region.

2015-2020: Mobile shift

As mobile usage increased, session style changed toward shorter and more frequent checks. Users started relying more on quick status updates and second-screen behavior during overlap windows.

Today

LiveTV is now used mainly as a routing and discovery layer between schedule lookup and external playback sources. It remains practical for navigation while official rights coverage stays with licensed services.
